NO TROUBLE / WAY GONE 7"
Rock The Fuck Out 2005

UNCLE DAN'S HOUSE OF SMUT
http://www.geocities.com/houseofsmut

Hot on the heels of last year's superbly blistering demo, the Resinators are back with this sweet little 7"er. While this recording isn't quite as venomous as that demo, all the power the Resinators possess has been focused into a rock n' roll deathbeam of epic proportions, making for a very worthwhile listen. The only drawback to this package is there isn't more of it to take in.

Anchoring this slab on the A-side is "No Trouble." For those who wish the Quadrajets were still around, this cut is the medicine you've so desperately craved. Hard rock injected garage punk bliss, all the way.

Side B closes things with a cover of the Zeros classic "Wimp." Yes, this is an awesome song and the Resinators do a great job with it. That said, one can't help but wonder if it would've been better for the band to use this space on another original, instead. These guys have plenty of wothwhile homebrewed gems yet to be "officially" released.

That isn't the end of the world, though. Without question, this single is a winner, full of all the quality you've come to expect from the Resinators. A limited number of these are available on colored vinyl, so act fast for the deluxe treatment. Don't forget to score a copy of the band's 2004 demo as part of your order, either. The good stuff just keeps coming from these guys.

"Devilsite"

Drop these cretins a line, and they'll send you your very own copy of this furiously rocking demo disc.  Seven blasts of hyper-rock'n'roll that prove this is a band that does not know what Ritalin is, or where to get it.  Possessed of an almost hardcore punk energy (think Damaged-era Black Flag), NOBODY can say this fucker doesn't smoke.  The constant lead guitar can be a bit much at times, but fuck, when your controls are set on destroy, you have to attack with everything you have.

WAY GONE / GOTTA GO 7"

MAXIMUM ROCK N' ROLL #217 JUNE 2001

Never to be confused with the san francisco duo of (almost) the same name, The Resineators (who had the name first, but hey...it's not my battle). These dudes are a trio of Illinoisan endomorphs who play simple, non-cliche'd garage rock without apologies, mosh-pit breakdowns, or acoustic bridges. "Gotta go" is a down-and-dirty dirge that runs just long enough for the listener to crack a beer, down it's contents, and reach for another (repeat as necessary). A fine and fun debut. (JH)

Dart rebuttal -- The Resinators have been playing for about a decade, so if you want to split hairs. These boys have had the name longer.

HORIZONTAL ACTION

Tough rock n' roll with two chords and dirty vocals that makes my pants get tighter with ever passing swampy lick. Real gravelly production, and a throbbing Scientists/Chrome Cranks groove that won't let you get up out of it. "Gotta go" is as mez-merizing as Micheleo's pizza, is delicious. So don't waste another $4 on food when you can choke on this , bitch! (Dick)

DISGRUNTLED

RESINATORS rule! "Way Gone" is saliva-dripping rave-up with a sound big enough to level any garage. "Gotta Go" brings to mind the down & dirty soundtrack to a girl stripping. No, make that an ARMY of girls stripping...

GRUNNEN ROCKS

Excellent debut 7"

HIT LIST, VOL 3, #1 July/August 2001

What a debut! "Way Gone" sounds like a classic Rip Off Records sort of tune with speed and up-front guitars, whereas "Gotta Go" is like a southern fried version of the CONTROLLERS' "Suburban Suicide." Find this and you'll thank me later.

SMASHIN' TRANSISTORS

This is the type of band that I wish was in my neighborhood. Now, I'm not talking about a band laying around town. I'm talking about some guys a block over, down in the basement cranking up the sound for a reason to drink some beer. Everybody hanging out getting loaded and jammin' the ROCK!!! Bring over some PBR and your down, baby. Good ole dumbass, dirthead Rock-n-Roll!!! (Dart Records or 1539 Aloha Rd/Dahinda, Il/61428)

BLANK GENERATION

Straight-forward man-rok from the same label that brought us the Midnight Evils. This band mines similar territory, but they?re a bit lower on the evolutionary scale. I'll bet they kick it out live. (TK) (Dart Records, P.O. Box 1843, Fargo, ND 58107)
